Who I am

I’m a graduate of Howard University’s journalism program, where I built a strong foundation in reporting, multimedia production, and visual and written storytelling.

I am also a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, where I received a master’s degree in sociology. During my masters program I studied media, culture, and power and produced my thesis How News Media Understands Three Decades of Racialized Protest: Analyzing Los Angeles Times Newspaper Coverage Through Framing and Narrative.

I am passionate about shaping the media as a calling and a career path. I’m especially invested in how communications and social science can work together.
